What if No One Noticed the Burning Korans?
So.
The big thing now is all the teeth gnashing and howls of “insensitivity” over some pastor with a little church in Florida who plans on setting a pile of Korans on fire to mark the anniversary of 9/11.
Like Islamic terrorist operatives have their ears to the ground of Gainesville, Florida.
I tried to ignore this “story” because in the grand scheme of things it’s really pretty inconsequential, I mean this is America and if some guy wants to burn something that he owns on his own property what do I care? Case closed time to move on with life.
But the whole thing seems to have taken on a life of its own, some backwater preacher has now become the talk of every major news network coast to coast and bouncing it’s way around the world inflaming Muslims.
Let’s be a little real here, if all these networks had looked at the story and concluded the guy was just an opportunistic jerk not worthy of the din and noise they’ve generated then all that would have come of it was a modest fire in Florida.
“Pastor” Terry Jones ain’t inflaming anyone, the constant drumbeat of the media is.
Way to create a story.

Holder bolder when going after Arizona, on terrorism not so much
This from the guy who couldn’t bring himself to say “radical Islam” but is absolutely certain that Arizona will engage in racial profiling.
Holder Floats Possibility of Racial Profiling Suit Against Arizona
Attorney General Eric Holder, just days after filing a federal lawsuit against Arizona’s immigration law, on Sunday floated the possibility of filing another suit on racial profiling grounds.
The lawsuit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Arizona claimed the state was infringing on federal immigration responsibilities and urged the judge to prevent the law from going into effect at the end of July. Despite some officials’ claims that the law could lead to racial profiling, that concern was not cited as grounds for the suit.
However, Holder said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” that the federal government was leading with its “strongest” argument in the suit filed Tuesday and would not rule out a second suit months down the road — if the law ends up going into effect.
“It doesn’t mean that if the law for whatever reason happened to go into effect, that six months from now, a year from now, we might not look at the impact the law has had … and see whether or not there has been that racial profiling impact,” Holder said. “If that was the case, we would have the tools and we would bring suit on that basis.”
How much you want to bet that if they lose, and Arizona’s immigration law goes into effect on the 29th, that they’ll file suit August 1st?

Public Schools are run by Idiots
The media has picked up on the controversy at a California (where else) high school over the piss poor judgment of an assistant principal who insisted that students remove their American flag bandannas and shirts and then sent them home when they didn’t comply.
They were told to do this while sitting at a table and pretty much just minding their own business.
As far as anyone has reported there was no violence, no complaints nor any sort of incident that would have prompted anyone to interfere with these students right to exercise their free speech right to wear the shirts.
If no school official had said or done anything then chances are that this would have been a non-issue. But that’s not what happened, now we got an apology from the assistant principal, an investigation and a walk out by Hispanic students to support the Hispanic “community”.
Which is apparently separate from the general American community.

Fortunately this incident has put the whole immigration debate into sharp focus, the idea of assimilation and the “melting pot” of different nationalities into a stronger nation of citizens has been abandoned in favor of “hyphenated” identity. The importation of ones heritage as opposed to embracing a new one.
All aided and abetted by PC tools and idiots in the public education system who fuel the fires of individual identity as opposed to national unity.
In a way the democrats are right, there are inherent dangers to this country from with-in, they cross our borders and infiltrate every day, and Washington lets them.
November can’t come soon enough.

White House Considers Moving 9/11 Trial Out of New York City
Bowing to intense and deepening bipartisan opposition to conducting the criminal trials for the 9/11 hijackers in the heart of New York City, the Obama White House has begun discussing alternative locations with the Justice Department, senior administration officials told Fox News.
The White House denied a New York Daily News report that it ordered the Department of Justice to find a new location for the trials, which are sure to attract massive publicity and require intense security preparations wherever they are held.
However, senior administration officials confirm alternative trial locations are being sought because Congress is almost sure to deny President Obama the funds necessary to conduct the trials, as originally planned, in the federal courthouse mere blocks away from the Twin Towers, the epicenter of the 9/11 attacks that took the lives of nearly 3,000 civilians.

Obama: ‘Systemic Failure’ Allowed Terror Suspect to Board Flight
President Obama said Tuesday that a “systemic failure” on multiple levels allowed a passenger armed with explosives to board a Detroit-bound flight last week.
The president, in his most extensive comments so far on what went wrong in the security process, said information about the terror suspect was not properly shared among intelligence agencies. He said that information, particularly a warning to authorities from the 23-year-old suspect’s father in Nigeria, should have landed him on a no-fly list well before he boarded the Northwest Airlines flight in Amsterdam.
“The warning signs would have triggered red flags and the suspect would have never been allowed to board that plane for America,” Obama said. “A systemic failure has occurred, and I consider that totally unacceptable.”
Suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab has since been charged in connection with the failed plot.
There were a number of apparent warning signs before the attempt. Sources said he spent time in Yemen and may have been groomed for the mission. The suspect was on a terror database of more than a half-million people. He also reportedly paid for his airline ticket in cash and brought no check-in baggage with him. He ultimately cleared security at Amsterdam but the explosive mixture failed to properly detonate.
Obama said a mix of “human and systemic failures” contributed to what could have been a “catastrophic breach of security.”
A senior administration official, speaking with reporters on condition of anonymity, said enough was known about the suspect to stop him, but the government didn’t connect the dots.
“It is now clear to us that there were bits and pieces of information that were in the possession of the U.S. government in advance of the Christmas Day attack — the attempted Christmas Day attack — that had they been assessed and correlated could have led to a much broader picture and allowed us to disrupt the attack,” the official said.
The CIA also acknowledged that it had Abdulmutallab on its radar.
In the mean time the TSA strip searches nuns and little old ladies, remember….terrorists only have to be lucky once to change the way we live and work.
If they do then they win.
