What if No One Noticed the Burning Korans?
So.
The big thing now is all the teeth gnashing and howls of “insensitivity” over some pastor with a little church in Florida who plans on setting a pile of Korans on fire to mark the anniversary of 9/11.
Like Islamic terrorist operatives have their ears to the ground of Gainesville, Florida.
I tried to ignore this “story” because in the grand scheme of things it’s really pretty inconsequential, I mean this is America and if some guy wants to burn something that he owns on his own property what do I care? Case closed time to move on with life.
But the whole thing seems to have taken on a life of its own, some backwater preacher has now become the talk of every major news network coast to coast and bouncing it’s way around the world inflaming Muslims.
Let’s be a little real here, if all these networks had looked at the story and concluded the guy was just an opportunistic jerk not worthy of the din and noise they’ve generated then all that would have come of it was a modest fire in Florida.
“Pastor” Terry Jones ain’t inflaming anyone, the constant drumbeat of the media is.
Way to create a story.

The Eco-Terrorists Inspiration
Funny thing about eco-terrorists….not a one of them claim to be in the tea party. But the main stream media seems to be all up in arms about the domestic “threat” posed by tea partiers and yet ignore the real domestic terrorist threat.
The “Discovery Channel” gunman was obviously a deranged lone gunman, yet eco-terrorists have been running amok for decades.
There’s been subtle forms of it for a long time, from PETA throwing fake (and sometimes real) blood on people wearing fur coats to subtle websites calling for humans to basically quit breeding and die out.
Thing is a lot of these “mainstream” groups fuel the activism of other, not so subtle groups.
Like ALF ( the Animal Liberation Front) who commit the crimes of breaking and entering and vandalizing property to carry out the “rescue” of exploited animals. Yet because it’s only property, so far, that’s been damaged the liberal media seems to be content with giving them a pass. As opposed to people who just support the tea party and have never committed a crime in the name of fiscal responsibility, border security, opposition to forced health care and responsible government.
Or how about ELF (the Earth Liberation Front) who commit arson and vandalism as a terrorist tactic to further their agenda?
Again not one tea party supporter has committed an act of arson or vandalism to further their agenda of pulling back on government intrusion into our lives.
Truth is that James Jay Lee had plenty of inspiration to feed his delusions and all of them provided by progressive ideology and abetted by the liberal press due to their complicit silence on the potential threat of eco-terrorism from the left.

MSM Ostrich Syndrome
Well it’s been a whole day since Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally and yet the mainstream media has pretty much put their blinders on and continue to attempt to demonize the participants by dragging out the old tired “racist” label and lowballing the actual number of patriots who attended.
There’s all kinds of pictures on the internet that pretty much debunks the “87,000″ that CBS News said was there.
Weasel Zippers has a great blog post on the crowds.
But my point isn’t as much about the rally as it is about the continuous denial of the commie progressive leftists who insist that numbers mean nothing.
From the number of people who attended the rally, disapprove of Obamacare, disapprove of TARP, disapprove of the way the federal government “enforces” immigration, disapprove of Obama’s supreme court nominess and generally just disapproves of the democratic controlled congress.
And yet the MSM continues to carry water for these policies that no one wants. The disconnect between the politicians, the press and the people is now complete.
Even some on the far left have begun to realize that congress is in for a big change and Obama is a one term president.
One thing for me that will make it all worth it is that when the whining on the left starts in 2011 I’ll be able to smile and tell them, “you brought it all on yourselves leftards”.

Newspaper, Businesses Feud in Tennessee Over Claims of ‘Hate Rhetoric’
A small Tennessee-based newspaper has become the center of a free speech firestorm after it was banned from a grocery store chain and a KFC for allegedly publishing “hate” speech.
The Rutherford Reader, a family owned and operated business, runs feature columns of local interest, many of which lately have related to controversy surrounding a mosque being built in Rutherford County.
The columns didn’t sit well with at least one patron who complained to several companies that they amounted to hate speech after a guest columnist in April referred to Islam as “evil.” One month later, the Reader was dropped from Kroger grocery stores, and soon after from a local KFC.
Now the paper is threatening to sue, saying this is a blatant breach of its First Amendment rights.
“When a group or individual can force a corporation to take something out of their store which is printed material and not offensive, then we’re headed in the wrong direction,” Pete Doughtie, the Rutherford Reader’s co-owner and publisher, told FoxNews.com.
But the Reader’s material was offensive, Kroger concluded.
“The free publication rack at Kroger is managed by a third party, Distributech. It was brought to their attention that The Rutherford Reader had developed a consistent pattern of hateful rhetoric,” Kroger spokeswoman Melissa Eads told FoxNews.com. “After both parties reviewed several issues of The Reader, it was determined that Distributech would no longer distribute the publication. We support them in this decision as neither of us support hate rhetoric of any kind.”
Doughtie says when he asked Distributech for examples of hate speech used in the paper, the company was unable to give him one.
“We shouldn’t be writing hate speech, but I can’t find anybody that can define hate speech in our product,” he said.
I realize that there is no free speech right on private property.
I just find it hypocritical, I’m sure they’ll allow the local liberal rag on their premises and I’ll bet you a dollar that any day of the week you can find opinion pieces about how evil conservatives and republicans are.
It’s the way the local liberal rag is here.
I’m sure any complaints about that will fall on deaf ears.
There seems to be a pattern of having a very narrow definition between free speech and hate speech, and the real haters are the ones doing the defining.

Why Arizona is right, and the boycotters are wrong
The statistics just don’t lie, if we don’t control our borders then anyone can come into the country and commit crimes.
Illegal Immigrants Crime Spree in WA.
One woman is dead and two others were raped recently and police say each crime was committed by a different illegal immigrant. One of the sexual assaults happened just hours before the Seattle city council passed an ordinance boycotting Arizona over its new immigration law.
Gregorio Luna Luna had a history of beating up his live-in girlfriend Griselda Ocampo Meza. He was also in the U.S. illegally. On May 1, Luna Luna was deported to Mexico. Three weeks later Meza was murdered in her apartment in a violent knife attack.
Franklin County prosecutors say Luna Luna slipped past the border again and killed Meza in front of their five year old son. He’s in the county jail awaiting trial.
A suspected rapist in Edmonds, Washington has been deported at least 4 times according to Snohomish County prosecutors. Jose Lopez Madrigal has been charged with raping a woman next to a dumpster behind a Safeway store. A witness to the attack alerted police and Madrigal was taken into custody.
An illegal immigrant just convicted of his possible 3rd strike in Whatcom county- a rape of a homeless woman- has been deported to Mexico five times.
Washington State ranks 11th in the nation in the number of illegal immigrants with an estimated 150,000. They make up 2% of the state’s population, but account for 4.5% of those in Washington prisons. In Franklin county, 14% of the jail bookings are illegal immigrants.
Currently, over half of the individuals on the Washington State Patrol’s Most Wanted List are suspected illegal immigrants. 18 of the 26 on the list are Hispanic with no place of birth identified. Most are wanted for vehicular homicide and they have languished on the Most Wanted list for several years.
There are about 50,000 felony warrants currently issued in Washington State and according to a source in the U.S. Marshall’s office between 30-40 percent are believed to be illegal immigrants.
These are the stories you can only find on local news, the lame stream media covers up the extent of the real problem.
Arizona, and other states, know what is happening in their communities and are ready to take steps to make them safer.
The big media ignores it and that is why they seem so out of touch….truth is that they are out of touch. With this country and what is happening to it.

Oscar Nunez got to use the occasion to take a shot at Arizona’s immigration law at the expense of this young woman.

Miss Oklahoma USA Morgan Elizabeth Woolard: “I’m a huge believer in states’ rights. I think that’s what’s so wonderful about America. So I think it’s perfectly fine for Arizona to create that law.”
She was asked what she thought about the new immigration law in Arizona. The judge who asked her the question was Oscar Nunez.
It’s amazing that the Donald allows this crap, not surprising, just amazing.
I guess he’ll take steps when everyone tires of it and turns the channel.

FBI files discuss Cronkite aiding Vietnam protesters
According to the informant, the group’s leader (whose name is redacted in the documents) told the attendees that during a visit to a local CBS News station to drum up publicity for the protests, he ended up in a 45-minute phone conversation with Cronkite.”[Redacted] told group he had been to CBS Channel Six in Orlando prior to meeting to speak to newsmen about Vietnam moratorium activities. [Redacted] related that while at TV station, Walter Cronkite, nationally known radio and television commentator, spoke to him by telephone for approximately forty five minutes and that Cronkite reportedly told [redacted] that CBS would have thirty six hours of coverage on Vietnam moratorium with ‘open mike’ to give demonstrators a chance to be heard. Cronkite noted, according to [redacted], that Senator Edmund Muskie would be in Orlando, Fla., November 13 instant for Democratic fund raising dinner. According to [redacted], Cronkite suggested that [redacted] attempt to Muskie to come [sic] to Cape Kennedy to speak at Kelly Park rally to be held November thirteen instant. Cronkite allegedly told [redacted] that CBS would rent helicopter to take Muskie to and from site of rally at Kelly Park.”
Cronkite’s assessment of the Tet offensive was a pivotal defining moment of the war and where the anti-war protests and will of the American people sorta just folded.
Funny thing is that after doing a search it’s almost impossible to find a video of Cronkite’s ”editorial” on Tet.
Kind of weird don’t you think?

The main stream media hasn’t been friendly to this country for long time and while Cronkite might not have been the first he certainly was the most covert.

The NYT and the Gospel of Obama
The New York Times ran this picture online with an article on Obama health care.
OK, let’s just forget about the health-care issue for a minute and really take a look at the picture that the NYT chose to accompany this article.
You have to wonder just what the paper is trying to convey, the religious overtones are undeniable, placing Obama within a cross with an angelic halo surrounding his head.
Is the New York Times trying to spread the message that Obama is supposed to be some kind of saviour? Is this really how progressives see Barack Obama, as a Christ figure who’s suffering should evoke some sort of empathy?
This isn’t the only instance of the supposed unbiased media overtly trying to send the message that Obama is above the earthly concerns of us mere mortals, it’s just the most insulting.
