Saints 31, Colts 17
I won’t lie to anybody, I’m a Colts fan and I fully expected them to win against the Saints but alas it was not to be.
The Saints played a good game and I’ve always been a believer in the idea that whoever wants it the most wins it.
The interception by Tracy Porter of Manning’s pass simply sealed the deal.
While I’m disappointed that the Colts lost I gotta say that the Saints played an excellent game and I congratulate them on their win.
There’s a lot of places on the web that have a blow by blow analysis of this years Super Bowl XLIV, here’s one that I thought summerized the game nicely.
Super Bowl XLIV Blog
Final: New Orleans 31, Indianapolis 17. This is one of the beautiful things about sports. They just won’t play out like you expect. This game was supposed to be a high-scoring free-for-all. This game was supposed to go to Indianapolis … especially after they took the 10-0 early lead. This game was supposed to come down to the brilliance of Peyton Manning. And instead, the Saints came up with a gutsy game plan, a tough defensive scheme, and a huge interception of Peyton Manning himself. It’s a great win for the Saints and the city of New Orleans.
Enjoy being champions NO, because next year there will be a lot of teams looking to take your place.

On Letterman and Sarah Palin
I lived in Indianapolis back when David Letterman did the local weather, there was no doubt that he was a little weird and when he left I just figured his goofy antics finally got him fired.
Truth is I never gave him a single thought until the debut of “Late Night with David Letterman”. I watched it on and off for a couple of years until I basically got bored of his same old routine and moved on with things in my own life. Until a few days ago when this video started making it’s way around the web after Letterman made several jokes about Sarah Palin and her daughters.
His “jokes” have apparently prompted one republican lawmaker to demand his firing from CBS.
New York Lawmaker Calls on CBS to Fire Letterman for Palin Comments
New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb, a Republican, is calling on the CEO of CBS to fire David Letterman for crude comments he made about Sarah Palin and her daughter. In the letter to CBS chief Les Moonves, Kolb said he took Letterman to task for the “shockingly inappropriate” jokes. While I also think Lettermans joke were over the top, I really don’t consider them any worse than any of the other attacks made by the media against Republicans and conservatives.
“As the proud father of a daughter, and as a husband, I wanted Mr. Moonves to hear from me directly about Mr. Letterman’s disparaging remarks,” Kolb said in a written statement.
“Firing Mr. Letterman would send a clear message that CBS will not tolerate any of its employees — even an established media figure like Mr. Letterman — making demeaning and degrading comments about women.”

While I also think Letterman’s jokes were over the top, I really don’t consider them any worse than any of the other attacks made by the media against Republicans and conservatives over the last couple of months.
The media elite have been wallowing in their own pit of self congratulatory slime since Obama ascended to the presidency. They have no intention of stopping now.
Truth is, David Letterman has been clamoring for attention for decades, and in his mind he has what he has been striving for.
The worse thing that could be done to Letterman, and the one thing that would really hurt him the most, would be to ignore him.
