Arizona Boycott? More like Guidelines….
….yeah….that’s the ticket.
I’m sure there are other demo-craps in city councils all over the country slinking away on the down low from the phony baloney boycott show against Arizona.
Only about 350 people showed up for the big protest against AZ. Governor Jan Brewer and even the organizers admit that the majority were bussed in.
Red-faced Boston city councilors who boldly voted to shun the state of Arizona over its new immigration crackdown are now showing signs of boycotter’s regret.
The grandstanding pols kept a low profile when the target of their boycott came to their city on Saturday. Some acknowledged taking a pass on the much-hyped protest of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer for weekend vacations and other engagements – while one councilor even admitted the embargo was ill-conceived.
The non-binding measure, sponsored by Council President Michael Ross and Councilor Felix G. Arroyo, calls on city officials “not to participate in any business activities substantially connected with the State of Arizona and municipalities in Arizona.”
“If it had to be done all over again, there’d probably be more thought put into it and perhaps a hearing,” said Councilor John Tobin of West Roxbury. “It was an emotional issue and an emotional time. I think the sponsors were getting a lot of pressure to say something, to file something.”Tobin’s own resolve broke down quickly. He had a chance to go to an Arizona Diamondbacks game at Fenway Park [map] last month.
“I asked the bill’s co-sponsors for permission,” he said. They said OK. Tobin went to the ballgame.Arroyo has not returned repeated calls since last week. Ross downplayed the strictness of the measure yesterday.
“I wouldn’t refer to it as a boycott. It was a number of things. It was a statement,” said Ross, who was away for the weekend as the protest took place.
How quickly the worm turns, when the thousands of protesters they were promised didn’t show up and they realized that they didn’t have the support that they imagined in their little la-la fantasies they turn tail and run.
The majority of the people of this country stand with Arizona and any politician who doesn’t won’t have to worry about commuting to the office after the next election.

Holder bolder when going after Arizona, on terrorism not so much
This from the guy who couldn’t bring himself to say “radical Islam” but is absolutely certain that Arizona will engage in racial profiling.
Holder Floats Possibility of Racial Profiling Suit Against Arizona
Attorney General Eric Holder, just days after filing a federal lawsuit against Arizona’s immigration law, on Sunday floated the possibility of filing another suit on racial profiling grounds.
The lawsuit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Arizona claimed the state was infringing on federal immigration responsibilities and urged the judge to prevent the law from going into effect at the end of July. Despite some officials’ claims that the law could lead to racial profiling, that concern was not cited as grounds for the suit.
However, Holder said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” that the federal government was leading with its “strongest” argument in the suit filed Tuesday and would not rule out a second suit months down the road — if the law ends up going into effect.
“It doesn’t mean that if the law for whatever reason happened to go into effect, that six months from now, a year from now, we might not look at the impact the law has had … and see whether or not there has been that racial profiling impact,” Holder said. “If that was the case, we would have the tools and we would bring suit on that basis.”
How much you want to bet that if they lose, and Arizona’s immigration law goes into effect on the 29th, that they’ll file suit August 1st?

Of course the Secretary of State, Charlie Daniels, some how found fewer names than what Secure Arkansas thought they submitted to put a measure on the ballot to bar illegal immigrants from getting most state services.
Why is this no surprise?
Immigration Signatures Fall Short Of Ballot
LITTLE ROCK – Secure Arkansas grossly miscounted the number of signatures it submitted in support of a ballot proposal on illegal immigration and did not qualify to put the measure before voters in November, Secretary of State Charlie Daniels said Friday.
Last week, the grass-roots group submitted what it said in an affidavit were 78,211 signatures in support of a proposed constitutional amendment to bar illegal immigrants from receiving most state services. The group needed 77,468 signatures of registered Arkansas voters to place the measure on the Nov. 2 general election ballot.
At the time the signatures were submitted, the secretary of state’s office said it would begin validating the signatures, and if the number of validated signatures fell short of the 77,468 threshold, the group would have 30-day “cure period” to make up the difference.
On Friday, Daniels’ office said an accounting firm counted the signatures submitted by Secure Arkansas and found 67,542 – more than 10,000 fewer signatures than the group stated it was submitting in its affidavit.
The firm only counted the signatures and did not invalidate any of them, said Sandra McGrew, spokeswoman for the secretary of state’s office.
“Since they did not have the required amount to begin with, then there is no cure period,” McGrew said.
Like I’m sure the organization would have submitted the signatures short and just hoped someone didn’t notice.
Remember that this is the state that gave us Bill “BJ” Clinton and cankles Hillary.
Of course there will be no proof of anything, the good old boys in Little Rock are famous for covering their asses. But you have to wonder how much we don’t know….considering how much we do…..such as:

Steve Striffler’s highly informative book, “Chicken: the dangerous transformation of America’s favorite food”, gives the story behind the indictment and trial of three Tyson Food executives for systematically hiring illegal Hispanic immigrants. I will relate in skeletal form the story. It starts with the arrival of a 20 year old man from Chihuahua into the U.S. in 1979, runs through the poultry industry boom in the 1990s, the federal indictment of and subsequent jury vote in favor of Tyson Foods, and a current effort to sue Tyson for RICO violations.
There are, of course, other instances to numerous to mention. One of the things to remember is that Arkansas has been and still is primarily a rural agricultural state. So their history of exploiting immigrants, legal or not, is a long one.
While it’s important to praise and stand behind states like Arizona and Oklahoma for their stand on illegal immigration it’s also important for us to shame states who don’t bother to protect their citizens from the criminals that the federal government allows in the country.

OK, Obama’s department of Justice just filed suit against Arizona because they simply want to enforce the laws that the federal government refuses to.
And on top of that liberal commie idiots file charges against citizens who attempt to defend themselves from the criminal aliens among us.
The Obamessiah is pandering to a very narrow base and the republicans in the past haven’t done much better.
It’s time to become issue specific…….immigration, pork barrel spending, deficit reduction and most of all plain leadership.
I lived through the tragic tenure of Jimmy Carter and I got to tell you I never thought anyone could be worse, well I was wrong, Barack Obama is the worse thing I’ve seen this country do in almost 50 years.
And what we had for republicans wasn’t to much better, there are some up and coming real conservatives in this cycle. You want real change then start looking for candidates that are “conservative”, not republican or libertarian but true dyed in the wool conservative candidates.
It’s the only chance we got.

Now that she’s let the cat out of the bag (in Ecuador no less) the Obama administration makes it official.
In poll after poll Americans overwhelmingly approve of Arizona’s immigration law, yet the White House opposes it.
This isn’t an argument about the constitutionality of Arizona’s law, it’s all about the fact that the federal government….especially the democrats, don’t want to enforce existing immigration law.
Obama Administration Planning to File Suit Against Arizona Immigration Law
The Obama administration plans to file suit challenging Arizona’s immigration law , officials told Fox News on Friday.
The confirmation comes after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in an interview with a TV station in Ecuador earlier this month that the administration would challenge the law in court, though officials had long said the issue was under review.
Administration officials initially would not confirm Clinton’s statement. But an official told Fox News on Friday that while the review is still underway, the decision has already been made that a Department of Justice suit will be filed. The administration at this point is just building its case.
Another official said there are still “substantial” issues to address and work out before the Justice Department knows that it has a strong enough case to file a lawsuit. The official said the department intends to file suit, but that any court action is contingent on the final review.
Clinton’s announcement was met with outrage Thursday by Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, who signed the law. Brewer told Fox News she’s ready for a fight.
I’m glad Brewer plans to fight it and I hope she wins.
Obama has gone beyond mere incompetence, this smacks of simple tyranny.

Illegals Leaving Arizona

First off, they’re interviewing a business owner who obviously doesn’t know English. So it seems that her business is set up solely for those who haven’t bothered to assimilate into this country.
Second thing is the inference that they are going to other states to avoid being deported.
I don’t know about the rest of you but in essence Arizona has deported its illegal problem to other states. I say we enforce the federal laws that Arizona has enacted for its own state and deport the problem back to Mexico so their government can deal with it.

Why Arizona is right, and the boycotters are wrong
The statistics just don’t lie, if we don’t control our borders then anyone can come into the country and commit crimes.
Illegal Immigrants Crime Spree in WA.
One woman is dead and two others were raped recently and police say each crime was committed by a different illegal immigrant. One of the sexual assaults happened just hours before the Seattle city council passed an ordinance boycotting Arizona over its new immigration law.
Gregorio Luna Luna had a history of beating up his live-in girlfriend Griselda Ocampo Meza. He was also in the U.S. illegally. On May 1, Luna Luna was deported to Mexico. Three weeks later Meza was murdered in her apartment in a violent knife attack.
Franklin County prosecutors say Luna Luna slipped past the border again and killed Meza in front of their five year old son. He’s in the county jail awaiting trial.
A suspected rapist in Edmonds, Washington has been deported at least 4 times according to Snohomish County prosecutors. Jose Lopez Madrigal has been charged with raping a woman next to a dumpster behind a Safeway store. A witness to the attack alerted police and Madrigal was taken into custody.
An illegal immigrant just convicted of his possible 3rd strike in Whatcom county- a rape of a homeless woman- has been deported to Mexico five times.
Washington State ranks 11th in the nation in the number of illegal immigrants with an estimated 150,000. They make up 2% of the state’s population, but account for 4.5% of those in Washington prisons. In Franklin county, 14% of the jail bookings are illegal immigrants.
Currently, over half of the individuals on the Washington State Patrol’s Most Wanted List are suspected illegal immigrants. 18 of the 26 on the list are Hispanic with no place of birth identified. Most are wanted for vehicular homicide and they have languished on the Most Wanted list for several years.
There are about 50,000 felony warrants currently issued in Washington State and according to a source in the U.S. Marshall’s office between 30-40 percent are believed to be illegal immigrants.
These are the stories you can only find on local news, the lame stream media covers up the extent of the real problem.
Arizona, and other states, know what is happening in their communities and are ready to take steps to make them safer.
The big media ignores it and that is why they seem so out of touch….truth is that they are out of touch. With this country and what is happening to it.

Sen. Shelby Slams Census Bureau for Allowing Sex Offenders to Go Door-to-Door
After two cases of alleged criminals going door-to-door to take surveys, Alabama Sen. Richard Shelby said Monday that the U.S. Census Bureau must do more to prevent hiring census takers with a criminal background.
In a letter to Commerce Secretary Gary Locke sent Monday, Shelby wrote that when he asked Locke during a Senate hearing last year about guidelines to disqualify applicants, including sex offenders and people who’ve committed crimes against children, he was told the measures would ensure “each applicant is an acceptable risk to collect census information from residents of a community as a representative of our government.”
“It is inconceivable that the Census Bureau could be so poorly managed as to hire a convicted sex offender to go door-to-door to collect personal information,” Shelby said. “Clearly, Mr. Secretary, your guidelines are not working.”
The letter followed news last week that a sex offender in New Jersey had spent two weeks in May interviewing residents while carrying around an official Census badge, bag and list of residents who hadn’t returned their surveys.
Frank Kuni reportedly had used fake documents under the name Jamie Shephard to pass an initial name check and receive four days of training.
You know a simple fingerprint check would solve the whole problem, but then again it would reveal illegal aliens also.
