We’re so reasonable, it has to be the weather.
I read about this little bit of bull crap over on Michelle Malkin’s blog.
Is Global Warming Causing the Tea Parties?
“Hot temperatures make people cranky and irritable,” said Bushman, who did not participate in the new research. “Cranky, irritable people are prone to aggression.”
Basically what the National Geographic is trying to say is that they can’t understand why people would be so upset about the liberal democrats seizing businesses, their health care and spending their children into involuntary servitude for the next several generations.
It has to be the weather!!!!
“Hope is the denial of reality.”
At least they got one part of that “hope and change ” thingy right.

EPA Says What we Exhale is a Danger
So now the gubbermint has declared the by product of all the fauna on the planet a “public health threat”.
EPA Issues Greenhouse Gas Warning Despite Concerns Over Leaked E-Mails
In the face of GOP opposition, the EPA on Monday declared greenhouse gases a danger to public health in a move that could pave the way for future regulation.
The administration also waved off concerns about the controversy surrounding leaked e-mails at a British climate research center, with the U.S. envoy to the international climate change conference in Copenhagen dismissing the flap as a “small blip.”
EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson said in a written statement that the finding, which declares carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases a threat to public health, marks the start of a U.S. campaign to tackle greenhouse gas emissions.
“These long-overdue findings cement 2009′s place in history as the year when the United States Government began addressing the challenge of greenhouse-gas pollution and seizing the opportunity of clean-energy reform,” she said.
The meticulously timed announcement comes on the opening day of the Denmark conference, and could boost the administration’s argument that the United States is taking action to combat global warming — though Congress has yet to pass climate legislation.
The democrats have now seized control of the air we breath and are on the verge of regulating and, yes eventually, charging punitive taxes on a gas that has existed before man.
No matter the questionable science behind the hysteria about “global warming” this liberal administration is hell bent on controlling every aspect of this country. The EPA will effectively destroy the economy with over reaching rules and regulations based on the hyperbole of a vice presidential has been and his busybody eco-loser enablers.
The intrusion into our everyday lives by the EPA “carbon watchdogs” will make the KGB look like little more than community organizers.
Over the last couple of years I’ve read all kinds of dire warnings on the web about how government has supposedly intruded into our lives, well they ain’t seen anything yet.
The “change” part of “hope and change” is happening now, the only thing we have left is the hope that enough people will vote to turn this around in 2010.
If not then we will have created tyranny.

Global Warming Zealots in Denial
I’ve been reading around the web some on the information coming out from the hacked computers at the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit.
The emails and data revealed seems pretty damning with politicians calling for an investigation into the fraud.
So I’ve been wondering how the true believers are handling these revelations and took a look around to see what they have to say.
And you know what? They don’t care that the data has been massaged and manipulated because you see to them global warming exists, even with faulty data.
One example is this article in the Telegraph UK.
Climategate won’t make global warming go away, despite what Delingpole tells you
First this guy has the nerve to compare global warming skeptics to Holocaust deniers and 9/11 truthers then he goes on to say:
Rifkind is also spot on about Climategate: “So some of them are crooks. It’s like giving up on doctors because of Harold Shipman.” There’s no point, in other words, pretending the Climategate emails aren’t very dodgy. But that doesn’t completely nullify the science behind global warming, which overwhelmingly points the finger of blame at mankind. (It really, really does, by the way – and no British scientific body or international body of any standing disagrees. Forget East Anglia, we’re talking about Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale…)
Well I ran across this editorial in the Washington Times and there are a few points that they make that Will Heaven of the Telegraph didn’t even consider.
EDITORIAL: The global-cooling cover-up
The reason it matters if the data from CRU is legitimate or not is summed up nicely here:
The Climatic Research Unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia has been incredibly influential in the global-warming debate. The CRU claims the world’s largest temperature data set, and its research and mathematical models form the basis of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) 2007 report.
The above deserves to be in bold because when reading this consider the last quote:
Academics around the world who have spent years working on papers using this data must be in full panic mode. By the admission of the global-warming theocracy’s own self-appointed experts, the data they have been using is simply “garbage.”
You see other researchers agreed with the CRU because they used their false and misleading data.
These clowns didn’t only embarrass themselves but they embarrassed others who used their data in good faith.
To solve this issue real science needs to take place, yeah the real live peer reviewed type of science where everyone shares everyone else’s data…..all of it.
And yes, even the sceptics get to look it over. Until that’s done there should be a moratorium on any kind of “global warming” treaty or “cap and trade” policies before we all get swindled out of trillions of dollars and our economy is in ruins.

Now We’re Murdering the Polar Bears
So all this controversy is swirling around the globe about the data hacked from the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit’s computers.
Michelle Malkin has a roundup of the reaction from lawmakers here and abroad.
ClimateGate: Both sides of the pond demand probes into data manipulation scandal
Yet even after the release of the data suggesting questionable motives by “researchers” the Global Warming band wagon rolls on.
With stories continuing the beat of the same old drum and lawsuits moving forward against energy companies who emit greenhouse gasses that add to global warming and cause catastrophic weather damage.
Now in an effort to ramp up the hysteria a group calling itself Plane Stupid has put together a gory little ad showing polar bears falling from the sky, hitting buildings and splattering in the streets. All because of global warming.
So where’s the science in this?

Earth Speaks:Maybe We Should Keep it to Ourselves?
I ran across this website recently that is a project by the S.E.T.I. institute.
Welcome to Earth Speaks, a research project that explores a critical question in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI):
“If we discover intelligent life beyond Earth, should we reply, and if so, what should we say?”
People from around the world are invited to submit pictures, sounds, and text messages that they would want to send to other worlds. The project aims to foster a dialogue about what we should say to extraterrestrial intelligence, as well as whether or not we should be sending intentional messages.
You know maybe 30 or 40 years ago the general public may have been able to formulate thoughtful and intelligent statements to share with extraterrestrials.
Nowadays I’m not so sure, considering the fact that just about every other issue in the world was placed on the back burner after the demise of Michael Jackson.
Instead of being able to compose a compendium of wisdom for the ages we might find ourselves sending out messages of anguish and woe over the depredations and personal lives of various pop icons and celebrities.
Or how about the unhinged hysteria over “Global Warming”?
Personally I’d be embarrassed to let extraterrestrials know that our best scientific consensus comes from a professional politician who uses a fawning media and environmental sycophants to spread the gospel of imminent doom instead of sound, peer reviewed scientific proof.
There is the potential to communicate some very embarrassing information about ourselves to ET, like the voyeuristic shallowness of our society as a whole.
I’m of the opinion that we should keep it all to ourselves, although upon further reflection maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad idea. What incentive would they have to answer back?
I would hope that if we do answer the guy composing the message would have enough sense to pad our resume’, it would be a drag to be an intergalactic laughing stock.

ABC Declares “The End is Near!!!”
I find the rush to marginalize contemporary theological dogma by progressives online and in the media fascinating. The rush to paint anyone of faith with the brush of “bumpkin” and “ignorant boob” while proclaiming themselves to be immune from the group think and brain washing of judgmental and rigidly moralistic religious thought.
To them the unwashed masses are little more than automaton’s responding blindly to a dusty old book and thousands of years of scientific ignorance and oppression, living a fantasy of end times prophecy and the return of a figment of imagination.
They’re to smart to fall for all that crap on faith alone, they got their own end time prophecies, based on hysterical hyperventilating over global warming preached by their own versions of infallible messiahs.
And they ain’t shy about spreading the word, so tonight we’re in for a real treat as ABC rolls out a prime time special preaching the words of impending doom.
‘Earth 2100′: Could This Be the Final Century of Our Civilization?
Imagine a world in which cities are abandoned and our population has dropped by 90 percent. A world in which we have wreaked havoc on our delicate ecosystems and nature has begun to reclaim Earth. Once-bustling cities have fallen silent except for the rustle of the wind through the grass and trees that have cracked through the collapsing pavement. Humans have not walked these urban streets for years.
Does it seem like the stuff of science fiction? According to the world’s top scientists, it could very well be the legacy we leave our children and grandchildren. They say we are at a turning point, that the choices we make today will determine if the human race, as we know it, will survive.
Watch “Earth 2100,” a two-hour television event, Tuesday, June 2, at 9 p.m. ET.
~snip~
Check out the trailer:
What’s really interesting about this is the way that everyone just accepts the idea that global warming is real without considering any other opinion that the warming and cooling of the planet is simply a natural occurance….in other words global warming is simply taken on faith.
But, just like in religious dogma, there is a way to salvation for the global warming zealots.
All they need is complete control, over society, technology, government and the world. Then they too can create a “paradise”, just like the one that the Bible talks about.
We just have to switch from one dogma to another, I’m just waiting on someone to explain to me how that makes everything all better.

Global Warming running late
I live in a deep southern state and here it is….. March and the weather service is saying we could see 3 to 6 inches of snow.
Normally it would be spring like and I would be getting my fishing tackle ready for the spring run of monster crappie we get to catch here.
