Cop Killer Clemmons Still at Large
Maurice Clemmons, the suspected killer of 4 police officers is still at large with some rumours circulating that he maybe heading back to Arkansas.
But then again why shouldn’t he head back here where he was basically given every chance at being free despite his criminal record.
When Mike Huckabee was governor he commuted Clemmons 108 year sentence down to a sentence that made him eligible for parole. Even then he still couldn’t stay out of trouble being returned for a parole violation until 2004.
Old Huckabee of course has tryed to spread the blame around.
Huckabee said the criminal justice system “failed miserably” in Clemmons’ case.
“If I could’ve known nine years ago, looked into the future, would I have acted favorably upon the parole board’s recommendation?” Huckabee told Fox News Radio on Monday. “Of course not.”
Fact is he was the one who started the whole thing by making Clemmons eligible for parole in the first place, if he’d left the sentence alone we wouldn’t be seeing what we are now.
Mike Huckabee was the most commuting or pardoning governor of Arkansas ever….and society will be the ones to pay the price.

Michelle Malkin is keeping up with the latest on the manhunt for Clemmons.

Global Warming Zealots in Denial
I’ve been reading around the web some on the information coming out from the hacked computers at the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit.
The emails and data revealed seems pretty damning with politicians calling for an investigation into the fraud.
So I’ve been wondering how the true believers are handling these revelations and took a look around to see what they have to say.
And you know what? They don’t care that the data has been massaged and manipulated because you see to them global warming exists, even with faulty data.
One example is this article in the Telegraph UK.
Climategate won’t make global warming go away, despite what Delingpole tells you
First this guy has the nerve to compare global warming skeptics to Holocaust deniers and 9/11 truthers then he goes on to say:
Rifkind is also spot on about Climategate: “So some of them are crooks. It’s like giving up on doctors because of Harold Shipman.” There’s no point, in other words, pretending the Climategate emails aren’t very dodgy. But that doesn’t completely nullify the science behind global warming, which overwhelmingly points the finger of blame at mankind. (It really, really does, by the way – and no British scientific body or international body of any standing disagrees. Forget East Anglia, we’re talking about Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale…)
Well I ran across this editorial in the Washington Times and there are a few points that they make that Will Heaven of the Telegraph didn’t even consider.
EDITORIAL: The global-cooling cover-up
The reason it matters if the data from CRU is legitimate or not is summed up nicely here:
The Climatic Research Unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia has been incredibly influential in the global-warming debate. The CRU claims the world’s largest temperature data set, and its research and mathematical models form the basis of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) 2007 report.
The above deserves to be in bold because when reading this consider the last quote:
Academics around the world who have spent years working on papers using this data must be in full panic mode. By the admission of the global-warming theocracy’s own self-appointed experts, the data they have been using is simply “garbage.”
You see other researchers agreed with the CRU because they used their false and misleading data.
These clowns didn’t only embarrass themselves but they embarrassed others who used their data in good faith.
To solve this issue real science needs to take place, yeah the real live peer reviewed type of science where everyone shares everyone else’s data…..all of it.
And yes, even the sceptics get to look it over. Until that’s done there should be a moratorium on any kind of “global warming” treaty or “cap and trade” policies before we all get swindled out of trillions of dollars and our economy is in ruins.

Happy Thanksgiving

Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving day.
Today I’m thankful for my family.
The good years of the past and the ones coming in the future.
To be born in a country with the freedoms that we enjoy.
I’m thankful for the men and women who serve this country so that we can have those freedoms.

9/10 Reaction in a 9/11 World
If anyone has any doubts where sympathies on the left reside when it comes to terrorists then there is no better example than this.
Navy SEALs Face Assault Charges for Capturing Most-Wanted Terrorist
Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.The three, all members of the Navy’s elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called an admiral’s mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.
Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named “Objective Amber,” told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.
Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.
I don’t know if any one’s noticed but there seems to be disturbing trend here, first with the news that Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the alleged “mastermind” of 9/11 and a few of his cohorts will be brought to trial in a civilian court (with liberals like the ones at the NYT’s basically salivating at the opportunity to put the WOT on trial).
The case is likely to force the federal court to confront a host of difficult issues, including rough treatment of detainees, sensitive intelligence-gathering and the potential spectacle of defiant terrorists disrupting proceedings. U.S. civilian courts prohibit evidence obtained through coercion, and a number of detainees were questioned using harsh methods some call torture.
To the news that the “defendants” intend to use the trials as a platform for their criticism and views of the United States and their citizens.
As if killing almost 3,000 of them wasn’t enough to give most of us an idea of exactly how they feel.
How is it that these brave and resourceful soldiers have to defend their actions after capturing what is clearly a enemy of the people of this country, the one they are sworn to protect, and terrorist pieces of garbage are going to get the best defence money can buy?
But wait!!
It’s going to get better, you see the jihadist piece of crap Nidal Hassan that killed 12 people and wounded 31 survived his wounds.
So now we’ll all get another judical circus when he goes to trial.
Think he’ll end up being able to sue the ones who wounded him and stopped his rampage?
Yeah I think so too, kinda gives you an indication about how badly justice is perceived in this country nowadays….don’t it?

Now We’re Murdering the Polar Bears
So all this controversy is swirling around the globe about the data hacked from the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit’s computers.
Michelle Malkin has a roundup of the reaction from lawmakers here and abroad.
ClimateGate: Both sides of the pond demand probes into data manipulation scandal
Yet even after the release of the data suggesting questionable motives by “researchers” the Global Warming band wagon rolls on.
With stories continuing the beat of the same old drum and lawsuits moving forward against energy companies who emit greenhouse gasses that add to global warming and cause catastrophic weather damage.
Now in an effort to ramp up the hysteria a group calling itself Plane Stupid has put together a gory little ad showing polar bears falling from the sky, hitting buildings and splattering in the streets. All because of global warming.
So where’s the science in this?

Suicides on the Rise, Recession Blamed
Do hard times really cause a rise in suicides?
Or is the focus on a slight uptick of despair used as an excuse to push an agenda?
When times are a little hard those who are at a tipping point may just go ahead and launch themselves off the cliff, does this really indicate hopelessness in the overall quality of living?
Early Data Suggests Suicides Are Rising
Early signs suggest the number of suicides in the U.S. crept up during the worst recession in decades, according to a Wall Street Journal survey of states that account for about 40 percent of the U.S. population.Available data, still incomplete, suggest that this recession, like past ones, coincided with an uptick in suicides. The data from 19 states find an increase in suicides in the recessionary year of 2008 from 2007. Those states historically account for about half of annual suicides in the U.S. Calls to suicide hotlines are rising. And suicides in the workplace and the military — a small sliver all of self-inflicted deaths — were up in 2008.
Official data on suicides in the U.S. lag, and a 2008 national tally isn’t yet available. In 2007, there were 33,185 suicides, according to preliminary estimates from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, compared with an average of about 32,800 in the previous three years.
A Journal survey of the 33 largest states by population found 19 have data for 2008. In all, those 19 reported a total of 15,335 suicides in 2008, up about 2.3 percent from the previous year.
Thirteen states, accounting for 30 percent of the U.S. population, reported more suicides in 2008. In Florida, for instance, suicides were up 6 percent, in Georgia, up 2.3 percent, and in North Carolina, up 7.8 percent. In six smaller states, which account for about 9.5 percent of the population, the number of suicides fell.
The precise reasons for the rise in suicides aren’t yet known. But suicide rates have historically risen during tough economic times, when unemployment is high, suicide experts say.

Spoiled Brats
Apparently ponying up tuition for some liberal college is the price some parents will pay to get their spoiled little darlings out from under the roof of their house.
Just think if they actually raised them with some values they could possibly stand to be around them.

Michelle Malkin has the details.
Another day, another Berkeley tantrum
Tuition hikes and custodian layoffs were the latest excuse for a UC Berkeley campus tantrum.
The San Francisco Chronicle called the student takeover of Wheeler Hall an “occupation.”
In the old days, dyed-in-the-wool libs would practice civil disobedience and accept their punishment.
In the Age of No Consequences, Berkeley students demand that they be allowed to break rules, disrupt campus life, and create chaos without any repercussions:

Help We Don’t Need
Opposition to amnesty for illegal aliens has nothing to do with who or where the illegals are from.
It has everything to do with enforcing existing law and the security of the country and its citizens.
Neo-Nazi’s are not welcome, the movement has nothing to do with excluding others due to race or ethnicity, just orderly and lawful immigration.
These types have nothing to contribute.
