That Time of Year
The lack of activity on my blog is because of the approaching holiday, like anyone else, it seems for me that I just don’t have enough hours in the day for everything that needs to be done.
So I’ll just leave you with this until after the new year.
Funniest Budweiser Holiday Commercial Ever!!
I saw this one only once and it floored me.
Budweiser makes some of the best commercials.
Radio Count Down to Christmas
One of the great things about the Christmas season is the memories we all carry with us into adulthood. The magical moments/traditions that allow us to look back on our childhood with family and friends hoping to pass on new memories to the next generation.
Historically the Christmas season has survived great wars and turmoil leaving each generation with it’s own perception of what the holidays mean to them.
One of our members at the OutCast Conservative forum happens to be an old time radio buff who blogs about the great, but semi-forgotten programs.
The Easy Ace: A Journal of Classic Radio
He has graciously started a thread called “The 21 Days of Old-Time Radio Christmas” where he provides links to his collection of Christmas programs from the 1940′s.
The current tease is a Christmas eve thread, I’m not sure what he has planned but it sounds like a great opportunity to experience the same thing that our grand parents and great grand parents did during the Christmases of World War II.
You don’t have to be a member of the forum to view and enjoy this open thread, so I hope you’ll join us on Christmas eve and sample some of EasyAce‘s radio offerings just to take a peek into a different time.
And don’t forget to visit his blog.
Thanks EasyAce!
