The big thing now is all the teeth gnashing and howls of “insensitivity” over some pastor with a little church in Florida who plans on setting a pile of Korans on fire to mark the anniversary of 9/11.

Like Islamic terrorist operatives have their ears to the ground of Gainesville, Florida.

I tried to ignore this “story” because in the grand scheme of things it’s really pretty inconsequential, I mean this is America and if some guy wants to burn something that he owns on his own property what do I care? Case closed time to move on with life.

But the whole thing seems to have taken on a life of its own, some backwater preacher has now become the talk of every major news network coast to coast and bouncing it’s way around the world inflaming Muslims.

Let’s be a little real here, if all these networks had looked at the story and concluded the guy was just an opportunistic jerk not worthy of the din and noise they’ve generated then all that would have come of it was a modest fire in Florida.

“Pastor” Terry Jones ain’t inflaming anyone, the constant drumbeat of the media is.

Way to create a story.

Funny thing about eco-terrorists….not a one of them claim to be in the tea party. But the main stream media seems to be all up in arms about the domestic “threat” posed by tea partiers and yet ignore the real domestic terrorist threat.
The “Discovery Channel” gunman was obviously a deranged lone gunman, yet eco-terrorists have been running amok for decades.

There’s been subtle forms of it for a long time, from PETA throwing fake (and sometimes real) blood on people wearing fur coats to subtle websites calling for humans to basically quit breeding and die out.

Thing is a lot of these “mainstream” groups fuel the activism of other, not so subtle groups.

Like  ALF ( the Animal Liberation Front) who commit the crimes of breaking and entering and vandalizing property to carry out the “rescue” of exploited animals. Yet because it’s only property, so far, that’s been damaged the liberal media seems to be content with giving them a pass. As opposed to people who just support the tea party and have never committed a crime in the name of fiscal responsibility, border security, opposition to forced health care and responsible government.

Or how about ELF (the Earth Liberation Front) who commit arson and vandalism as a terrorist tactic to further their agenda?

Again not one tea party supporter has committed an act of arson or vandalism to further their agenda of pulling back on government intrusion into our lives.

Truth is that James Jay Lee had plenty of inspiration to feed his delusions and all of them provided by progressive ideology and abetted by the liberal press due to their complicit silence on the potential threat of eco-terrorism from the left.

The new conservatives are true believers in the “One Right Way”, and Democrats only rarely agree on the one best way to go. But we can all agree that Fox News is a bad influence on America.

It is time to pop the tea baggers’ favorite balloon (so what if it will be replaced by another?), and with that in mind I hereby offer to negotiate a $100,000 payday to the person who will come forward with a sex tape or phone records or anything else that succeeds in removing Glenn Beck from the public eye forever. I am not offering the cash myself, but I will broker the deal and/or raise the money for what you bring to the table. (And it better be good.)

Any means necessary I suppose, amazing that this is what the left is being driven to. No attempt to counter with ideas because they know their ideas are bankrupt, so all they got left is to smear and slander.

Well it’s been a whole day since Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally and yet the mainstream media has pretty much put their blinders on and continue to attempt to demonize the participants by dragging out the old tired “racist” label and lowballing the actual number of patriots who attended.

There’s all kinds of pictures on the internet that pretty much debunks the “87,000″ that CBS News said was there.

Weasel Zippers has a great blog post on the crowds.

But my point isn’t as much about the rally as it is about the continuous denial of the commie progressive leftists who insist that numbers mean nothing.

From the number of people who attended the rally, disapprove of Obamacare, disapprove of TARP, disapprove of the way the federal government “enforces” immigration, disapprove of Obama’s supreme court nominess and generally just disapproves of the democratic controlled congress.

And yet the MSM continues to carry water for these policies that no one wants. The disconnect between the politicians, the press and the people is now complete.

Even some on the far left have begun to realize that congress is in for a big change and Obama is a one term president.

One thing for me that will make it all worth it is that when the whining on the left starts in 2011 I’ll be able to smile and tell them, “you brought it all on yourselves leftards”.

There’s been many other posts by other bloggers who have, of course, cataloged the brutal Islamic terrorist attacks around the globe that makes even the most peaceful middle American mom and dad nervous about the “religion of peace”.

But lets get real for a moment, how many massive declarations by moderate muslims has anyone heard since or before 9/11 condemning HAMAS or Hezbollah?

How many since 9/11 have come out and declared Israels right to exist?

This shouldn’t be to much of a stretch for a “peaceful and tolerant” religion.

Opposition exists not because of the xenophobia or racism of vast numbers of the American people, opposition exists because of the perceived support of murderous thugs and the belief that an entire nation should be eradicated from the face of the earth.

That is the face of Islam to most of America, not peaceful coexistence.

That and the type of anti-American, socialist, subversive communist sympathizers who pull out the same tired rhetoric that has been used since the overthrow of the czars.

Believe me they ain’t enhancing Islams image at all.

Until there is an Islamic world wide repudiation of terrorist organizations and a universal declaration by Muslims of the right of all nations to exist there will always be intolerance from the majority of the American people.

AP Exclusive: In Japan town where dolphins are both playmates and game, mayor defends hunts

TAIJI, Japan (AP) — As children in inner tubes bob on the calm waters of this small ocean cove, a 550-pound (250-kilogram) dolphin zips through the crowd in pursuit of raw squid tossed out by a trainer.

Niru, a Risso’s dolphin caught locally, seems unbothered by all the people and the squeals of surprise and delight. The cove is packed — it’s a bright summer Sunday and hundreds of families have come.

But in two weeks, the waters of the cove will turn blood red, as it becomes a holding pen for annual hunts that capture and kill hundreds of dolphins each year.

The ancient village of Taiji, portrayed in the Oscar-winning documentary “The Cove,” has a long and complex relationship with the dolphin. The film portrays the dolphin hunts as a sinister secret, cruel and dangerous because the animals have high mercury levels.

But the hunts are no secret in this village, where Risso meat sells for $10 a pound at the local supermarket. And the villagers are deeply and stubbornly proud of their centuries-old tradition, whatever Hollywood says.

I guess because on the one hand it’s only people dying, I wonder if Muslims considered dolphin to be Halal what thier reaction would be?

The furor over the proposed building of a Mosque within spitting distance from ground zero, in my opinion, is the final straw placed on the backs of the American people.

Since the Obamessiah assumed his lofty position of grand poo-bah of all things democrat and, with the democratic controlled congress, proceeded to ram through new taxes, health-care, outrageous liberal socialist nominees for the supreme court, expanded the deficit to astronomical numbers, neglected the economy and unemployment, provided bailouts for socialistic controlled unions and their cronies, incompetently dealt with the gulf spill crisis, allowed the enemies of traditional families to subvert the meaning of marriage all the while working on his handicap is a lot to take.

But bringing the country under the heel of his shoe isn’t enough for Obama and his lick-spittle little admirers in the liberal press, noooooooo.

He has to show his complete disregard for the sensitivity and feelings of the people who lost loved ones, friends and coworkers to a cowardly attack on the world trade center on September 11, 2001 by giving lip service to a Hamas loving terrorist enabler.

Is it any wonder that almost 25% of the people in this country polled believe that Obama is a Muslim?
